Sunday soup #4 -vegetarian chili

Chili was first invented by the Spanish Canary Islanders, in San Antonio, Texas, which they founded. Today, there are so many variations of chili, it can be catered to anyone's liking. Traditional chili minimally has peppers, meat, garlic, onions, and cumin. Beans and tomatoes are also added to some. Not traditional, here's my version of a vegetarian chili with all of the above, except the meat.
 -in large pot
1 tbsp olive oil
 l medium onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 green chiles. Minced
-saute then add:
1 can diced tomatoes
2 c black beans
4 c kidney beans
2 Tbsp cumin
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp basil
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 c broth
salt & pepper to taste
-bring to boil, simmer 20 minutes
